A tour yemmiganur to Mantralayam nineteen kilometers distance.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt, Mantralayam, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh - 518345,
Jagadguru Srimamadhvacharya Moola Maha Samasthanam
Mantralayam is around 6 hrs journey from Hyderabad. Mantralayam is a place of Sri Raghavendra Swami’s (aka Rayaru) brundavanam.

Tungsbhadra Rail station in the near of the 20km on Mumbai Chennai main track.

Tungsbhadra rive flowing after in bath with the wet dress first darshanam machalamma Mata is goddess’s village.
We had good darshanam of Brundavanam. It was less crowded so it didn’t take much time. After having darshanam, we had our breakfast at one of the Udupi hotels. Then we took one hire car a crossed the river by Madhavaram bridge for Panchamukhi Anjaneya temple which is situated around 20kms from Mantralayam. Panchamukhi Anjaneya temple is said to be the place where Rayaru performed tapasya for 12 years. As a result, Anjaneya appeared before Rayaru. It is belongs to Karnataka state.
Since that day was Amavasya (New moon), there was huge rush in this temple. Somehow we managed to get into temple and have darshanam.

There is good free meal facility organizing by the swami mutt. The devasthanam lodges are good comfortable accommodations with the cheeps rent.

These are Parampara of the mutt.

The Moola Ram icon was reverently worshipped by Sita, Sri Hanumanta, and others. During the Dwapara Yuga the icon ended up in the Moon Dynasty (Chandra Vamsha) and was worshipped by Bhimasena. With the course of time, it kept changing hands until it reached the Orissa kingdom. From there, it finally reached the hands of Sri Madhvacharya. Lord Narayana incarnated during the Dwapara Yuga as a Swan – the symbol of pristine purity and took up asceticism in order to spread knowledge about the scriptures. His glorious lineage was continued by great personalities like Brahma, Sanaka, Doorvaasa, and others. The thirteenth century saw Vayu, incarnating under the explicit command of the Lord, as the next great personality in this lineage. This was Sri Madhvacharya .It is popular belief, based on testimonials from aparoxa gyanis, that Rayaru is the incarnation of a celestial called Sankukarna. The incarnations of this celestial are as follows - Sri Prahlada, Sri Bahlika, Sri Vyasa teertha and Sri Raghavendra Teertha. Let us take a closer look at each person in the lineage. Sankukarna was a karmaja devata assisting chaturmukha brahma in the pooja of the Lord. One day, he was a little late in bringing flowers for the pooja and Brahma cursed him to be born on the earth.

Sri Raghavendra swami is avatar is of bhakta Prahallada devotion on Lord Sri Krishna. Anniversary celebration is in sravana purnima. A big garden is behind of temple tulasi dalam plants for swami garlands. Veda school is there.
