Have you ever met a person that has a dream or goal that you know is not the best thing for them? هل سبق لك ان التقيت الشخص الذي يملك الحلم أو الهدف الذي تعرفون ليس هو افضل شيء بالنسبة لهم؟ I run into this a great deal in my career as a social worker. انشءها في هذا قدرا كبيرا في حياتي المهنيه كما اخصائي اجتماعي. Many times people with mental health issues have a difficult time being realistic about their abilities. مرات كثيرة الناس مع قضايا الصحة النفسية يكون من الصعب في الوقت الحاضر واقعيه عن قدراتهم. This is also true with teenagers. وهذا صحيح ايضا مع المراهقين. I never want to squash someone’s dream by telling them that they cannot achieve it; however I do find that there are times I need to point out the draw backs of what their desire might be so they are not faced with the frustration of not being able to achieve their goal. فأنا لا اريد الاسكواش احدهم عن الحلم عن طريق ابلاغهم انهم لا يستطيعون الوصول اليها ؛ ولكن اعتقد ان هناك اوقات انني بحاجة الى الاشارة الى استخلاص ما ظهر رغبتهم قد يكون ذلك انهم لا يواجهون الاحباط من عدم التمكن من تحقيق هدفهم.

Not thinking things through لم افكر من خلال الاشياء

So often I have experienced that people that have been in either the legal system or counseling arena want to be a social worker or attorney. حتى انني كثيرا ما عانت من ان الشعب التي تم اما في النظام القانوني أو الاستشاره الساحة يريد ان يكون الاخصائي الاجتماعي او المحامي. There are many social workers that have experienced a fair share of adversity in their lives and have come into the system to help others overcome similar issues. وهناك العديد من الاخصائيين الاجتماعيين التي شهدت حصة عادلة من الشدائد في حياتهم وصلنا الى نظام لمساعدة الآخرين في التغلب على قضايا مماثلة. Likewise many of the juvenile delinquents that I have worked with want to be attorneys because of their young exposure to the legal system and a public defender. وبالمثل كثير من الاحداث الجانحين ان عملت مع يريدون ان يكونوا محامين الشباب لما لها من التعرض الى النظام القانوني والمحامي العام. Many times the rigor of the schooling and the ability to work with people are not thought out when this career choice is made. مرات عديدة الصرامه من التعليم والقدرة على العمل مع الناس ليسوا على التفكير عند هذا الاختيار هو تقدم الوظيفي. One of the young men that I worked with had a very difficult time getting along with anyone. احد الشبان ان عملت مع كان من الصعب جدا الحصول على طول الوقت مع احد. He had several juvenile offenses of threatening people and doing property damage to people he did not like. قال ان لديه عدة مخالفات من الاحداث التي تهدد الشعب والعمل على الاضرار التي لحقت بالممتلكات الناس انه لم يعجبها. He wanted to be an attorney by going through online law school. كان يريد ان يكون محاميا عن طريق الذهاب على الانترنت من خلال مدرسة القانون. He thought he would get his undergraduate degree in the same manner. واعرب عن اعتقاده انه سيكون له الحصول على درجة جامعية في العمل بنفس الطريقة. He was quite intelligent so I did not doubt that he could do the class work; however I thought he needed to be able to interact with others in order to work as an attorney. كان ذكيا جدا بحيث لم اكن شك انه يمكن ان تفعله الطبقة العمل ؛ ولكن اعتقدت أنه يحتاج الى أن يكون قادرا على التفاعل مع الآخرين من اجل العمل بوصفه محاميا.

Resolving anger before practicing law حل الغضب قبل ممارسة القانون

I encouraged him to tour some campuses as well as to interview some attorneys to find out if any of them had attended online law school. انا شجعته على جولة في بعض الجامعات فضلا عن اجراء مقابلات مع بعض المحامين لمعرفة ما اذا كان أى منهم قد حضر مدرسة القانون على الانترنت. I know that getting a degree in law is very expensive and can also be quite time consuming. وأعلم أن الحصول على شهادة البكالوريوس في القانون هي مكلفه جدا ويمكن ايضا ان يستغرق وقتا طويلا جدا. The online law school seems like a great option to be able to earn your degree while you are working a job or raising a family. مدرسة القانون على الانترنت تبدو كبيرة الخيار ليكون قادرا على كسب درجة الخاص بك بينما أنت تعمل على عمل او تربية الأسرة. My concern was that this young man was attracted to the option because it meant he could avoid the interaction with others in a classroom. قلقي هو ان هذا الشاب كان جذبت الى الخيار لأنه يعني انه يمكن تجنب التفاعل مع الآخرين في الصف. He talked to his public defender about his goals. وتحدث المحامي العام لتقريره حول اهدافه. The public defender told him he needed to work out his anger issues first because if he did not get this under control and continued his behavior as an adult he could not practice law. المحامي العام قال له انه في حاجة الى العمل على قضايا من اصل غضبه أولا لأنه اذا فعل ذلك لا تحصل تحت السيطرة وتابع تصرفه كشخص بالغ وقال انه لا يستطيع ممارسة القانون. This has been the motivator to get him into counseling. وقد كان هذا هو الحافز للحصول على المشوره له حيز.
