I, of all people can be readily accused of bein somewhat biased, havin known her for close to 8 years from our college days, when nobody knew who she was, right thru the Live 101 days, when we was all out there tryna make a mark and havin thrown in the music on one of the tracks on her album, Xemplify… But when everybody else who does not have the same level of intimacy with her seems to agree that she is all that twice over, then it becomes the Koran written in stone. انني ، من جميع الناس يمكن بسهولة اتهم bein منحازه بعض الشيء ، havin يعرف لها ل8 سنوات قريبة من وجهة نظرنا كلية يوما ، وعندما لا احد يعلم الذين كانت ، والحق في العيش من خلال 101 يوما ، ونحن عندما كان هناك أصل جميع tryna أبدي مارك وhavin القيت في الموسيقى على واحد من المسارات على البومها ، xemplify… ولكن عندما اي شخص آخر الذين لا تتمتع بنفس المستوى من العلاقة الحميمه معها يبدو انها تتفق جميعا على ان اكثر من مرتين ، ثم يصبح القرآن مكتوب في الحجر.

OK, backtrack! طيب ، تراجع! I’m gettin ahead of myself, here. انا gettin متقدما على نفسي ، هنا.

I was at Bassline last night, for a little recognised AIDS-awareness project called When Life Happens hosted by The Forgotten Angle, a collective that uses the creative arts such as poetry and music to draw focus to their socially relevant message. كنت في bassline الليلة الماضية ، لقليلا معترف الايدز - مشروع التوعيه ودعت الحياة عندما يحدث استضافته الزاويه المنسيه ، جماعى ان يستخدم الفنون الابداعيه مثل الشعر والموسيقى يوجه الى التركيز على رسالة اجتماعيا ذات الصلة.

Khethi was performin there. Khethi كان performin هناك. And my Lord, what a performance! وربى ، ويا له من اداء!

As I said, I’ve known Khethi for a while now. وكما قلت ، لقد قمت المعروف khethi لبعض الوقت الآن. This is not just about idle name-droppin and tryna create a hype… Although, admittedly just a bit of it is. المساله لا تتعلق فقط اسم الراكد - droppin وtryna خلق… على الرغم من الضجيج ، ومن المسلم به للتو قليلا منه. I’ve had the honour of watchin this woman fight the odds to establish herself as a credible musician in a very unforgivin industry that seems to somehow always sideline real talent in favour of played-out, one-line, no-content, no-intellect, dried-up, been-in-the-sun-too-long, chewed-by-someone-else-for-three-years-before bubble-gum music. لقد تشرفت watchin هذه امرأة مكافحة الاحتمالات لإقامة نفسه كما في الموسيقى موثوق جدا unforgivin الصناعة ان يبدو دائما نوعا هامش المواهب الحقيقية في صالح لعب - ، سطر واحد ، اي محتوى ، أي - الفكر ، متابعة المجففه ، وكان - في - فان - الشمس - طويلة جدا ، ممضوغ - من جانب آخر - أحدهم - - - لمدة ثلاث سنوات - قبل الفقاعه اللثه - الموسيقي. Yeah, I know it’sa sore spot for everybody… Well at least for the more mentally Xemplified… but in my opinion nobody’s doin enough about it. نعم ، اعرف it'sa قرحة بقعة من الجميع جيدا… على الاقل لاكثر عقليا xemplified… ولكن في رأيي لا احد 'sdoin بما فيه الكفايه حول هذا الموضوع. That’s right, I said it! هذا صحيح ، قلت!

So she rocked the crowd for the get-go! بحيث أنها هزت الحشد للحصول على - يذهب! Her stage-presence was overpowering and captivating to say the least. - هي مرحلة الوجود القهر والأسر على اقل تقدير. Once she had you in the palm of yo hand, she could literally tickle yo belly-button with a simple suggestion from across the room. وقالت انها عندما كنت في راحة اليد يو ، وقالت إنها يمكن أن حرفيا الدغدغه يو - زر البطن مع اقتراح بسيط من جميع انحاء الغرفة. Lyrical content as well as pure, unadulterated genius vocal delivery put down delicately so as to complement the melodies and rhythmical carpets laid by her equally talented band, Afrodisiac. محتوى الغناءيه وكذلك نقي ، نقي عبقريه صخبا ايصال اخماد بدقة بحيث تكمل الانغام ومتوازن السجاد الذي ارساه لها نفس القدر من الموهوبين الفرقة ، afrodisiac. These nyggaz was rehearsed and it showed! هذه nyggaz هو التمرن وتبين! That level of professionalism and dedication to perfection has gotten rare in our generation. على هذا المستوى من الكفاءه المهنيه والتفاني في الكمال وقد بدأت نادرة في جيلنا.

When Khethi got off stage, I ran outside to see if I could get a close-up interview with her, but I have to confess, when I caught up with her, I was walking jelly, totally weak at the knees. Khethi عندما ترجل المرحلة ، ويتعارض مع انني خارج لنرى ما اذا كان يمكنني ان احصل على وثيقة متابعة مقابلة معها ، ولكن لا بد لي ان أعترف ، عندما مسكت يصل معها ، وانا كان يسير في هلام ، تماما ضعف في ركبتيه. I tried to open my mouth to speak and all I could say was, “….” I just ended up huggin her like the groupie I am and hangin on real tight although I did somehow manage to snap a photo or two. حاولت فتح فمي لاتكلم جميع وكان بوسعي ان اقول ، "…." انا فقط انتهى huggin لها مثل groupie انا وhangin ضيق حقيقي على الرغم من انني لم ادارتها بطريقة ما لألتقط صورة او اثنتين.

South Africa, check this out: If y’all don’t start recognisin yo own as the stars they are, they will find recognition elsewhere. جنوب افريقيا ، وتحقق هذا الإحتمال : اذا y'all لا تبدأ recognisin يو الخاصة كما انهم نجوم ، سيجدون الاعتراف في مكان آخر. They say, “A prophet is not without honour except in his own hometown.” It would be sad if this sayin were to be tru about Khethi in South Africa. ويقولون ، "نبي لا يخلو من الشرف الا في بلدة مسقط." سيكون من المحزن هذا قائلا : إذا كان لا بد من ترو عن khethi في جنوب افريقيا.
