There comes a time in a person’s life when he sees no hope. His problems seem to have no solutions; his sufferings seem to have no end.
We often cry out our grief, asking God “Why Me?”, or “When will this end?” We keep on grunting and complaining as if we are the most unfortunate ones among God’s creations. When we fall or get hurt, we oftentimes blame God for neglecting us, for allowing such things to happen. On the other hand, we forget Him when we are in the prime of our careers, succeeding in our chosen fields or simply too preoccupied to care that there is one God whose love for us is unconditional and everlasting.
Our stubborn pride sometimes keeps us from calling to Him, from getting down on our knees to pray, because we think highly of ourselves, so highly that we sometimes forget that we are just one of the creations of an all powerful ever living God.
The Bible says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” [John 3:16]. Jesus Christ died for us. He gave His life so that we might live. But sometimes, instead of being grateful for what He did, we continue to rely on what we can do; we stick to what we believe not caring if it is right or wrong.
The point in our lives where we see no hope, no solutions to our problems and even an end to our sufferings are not because God is neglecting us in any way, but rather He is allowing those things to happen in order to strengthen us and mold us to be better individuals.
God is just a prayer away. We may not see Him but we will definitely feel His presence and witness His power in our lives if we only give Him a chance to prove to us, His creations, that He is God.
