KID MATURTY
"Baba you do not understand me", my daughter Sanskriti who is just three and half complained one day "I want have chocolates and juice". Had she said, "Baba you are bad" I would not have become awestricken. If only she cried pointing me I would not be surprised. Nor I would be muddled did she ask me those edibles again and again. So I was amazed a lot hearing her complaints. She was still laying on her bet staring at me. Not getting the reaction she wondered, "Baba do you hear? You don't understand me". Then I nodded with a smile, "I do not understand what you mean", I pretended. "Look, my friends have those, no? I want to have chakies (chocolates) and Iniminmango (juce); mama does not buy it as you scold. Now who will do it huh?" I watched her face; it was firm and full like the full moon of confidence.
I helped her to get up promising I'd give her some money to buy a juice. She became exhilarated, "Baba you are good" after smacking her lips she ran to the nearby grocery. Before I shared what I felt with my betterhalf my daughter appeared with a sachet. She was sipping and humming with contentment in the veranda. My bhavi requested, "Nani please give me that". Pat came the reply, "No, you can not have it…grown ups get cough if they have it!" She was so much surprised that she thought we had taught her to do so.
She is quite intelligent; during last holi she gave packets of balloons to her friends secrectly. She has started going to school since last year, now she is a nursery student. She gives lot of surprises.
