In this twentieth century, culture and civilization are in the new and fast shift. There are some topographies to characterize this new and fast culture.
Firstly, our culture is delineated by cyber-culture. This cyber culture forms the network communication what conduce the global interaction. The global interaction, of course, indicts high sensitivity, sharp awareness on pluralism, intense tension on relativity. Conversely, the absolutism is unrelevant. This pretensions have to be remarked because the digital scheme in cyber-culture enables the explosion between the fact and the fiction. The coinage on symbols or stories mustn’t have fact reference on reality, but just needs self-reference.
Secondly, our culture is characterized as the end of ideology. The talk on great/superior politic ideology is obsolescent and unrelevant. The superior discourses, likewise religies, undergo the crisis internal. The primary principles what underlie the central symbols system are inconclusive and became polyphony. as the result there is no main system to unifies the experiences, there is no clear culture constituent what creates the enthusiasm, hope, desire, and happiness.
Thirdly, our culture is presaged by the growth of capitalism, but this capitalism has the ambivalent function in our culture. In one side, capitalism dredges human’s basic instinct (sexuality, nourishment, sensation, etc) and explores the freedom continuously so creates the dull and wild conscience. In the other side, man exactly hunts the products of capitalism endlessly.
