Many have heard of the auction guru corporation eBay which enables individuals to buy and sell just about anything from A-Z (example - art, automotives, books, clothing, electronics and much more . Millions of people use this system every day but one company Richland Opportunities Inc. has added their own twist to the business. This Sidney, Montana/USA based company which originally recycle cardboard and newspapers has jumped on the eBay bandwagon due to a proposal by Regan Taylor, ROI's project coordinator.
"We have access to shipping materials," Taylor said. "Plus it gives the people we serve another work opportunity.” (Sidney Herald)
ROI is offering a service to List items on eBay, track and ship the item to the buyer on behalf of the Seller and give advice on a starting price for the auction. They plan to make money charging an insertion fee along with a percentage of the selling price. Anyone can donate to ROI who in turn will attempt to market the goods.
Commenting on the integrity of ROI, Taylor said. "If they say it's in mint or working condition, we want to keep it that way." (Sidney Herald)
This is truly a case of an eBay Associate taking the experience one step further.
