The Exceptional Skill in you

Making a distinction in whatever sphere of life we are is a thing that depend largely on our skill.

For instance, no one will be skeptical when giving out a job to someone who have the capacity, proving some sense of technicality and showing a full ability to carry out the given task. A person who exhibits these qualities is said to be skilful in that area of life.
While certain human attributes such as ability, personality and character are innate, skill can be acquired or learned.

Maybe we are aware of the saying “a man skilful in his work will stand before kings”. And this is especially true in our world today. When people reach the zenith of their pursuit in life, they not only stand before great men but great people come to them too.

Throughout time, only those with the talent to carryout pre-determined results often with minimum outlay of time, energy or both are said to be skilful and are able to excel in the field where they show this degree of excellence.

These people have the ability to reason, plan, think abstractly, comprehend complex ideas, solve problems learn quickly and learn with experience in that field.

But we are faced with a situation whereby several of us can not yield meaningful results in what we do because we probably have not discovered our area of distinction.

Our skill is not merely book learning and making good grades which is just a narrow academic skill, it involve figuring out what to do that we are exceptionally good at in our environment. It requires that you use your ability and multiple talents to achieve a major goal that makes you indispensable to your immediate society.

To bring out this skill in you, you need to do some kind of self re-discovery. You need to think of anything or activity you have done before that was said to be a good job well done. Then, do this same thing over and over again until you can use this acquired potential to do something impressive that will gradually become fabulous.

We can not go on being lost with the ‘everybody talk’ for if we continue in it we will remain on the level of everybody. Each and everyone of us is peculiar and should take and advantage of this to make a mark in our area of specialty.

While it is good to have a hero as well as a mentor you look up to, it is not a sure thing to think you can become a replica of that person. You are unique. And you need to get up to say you are who you are getting a positive image of yourself from within, you will bring out your potentialities.

Move away from the level of empty dreaming and get something real started.
